About Our IPS e.max® CAD Restorations

Its unique lithium disilicate ceramic provides flexural strength of 530 MPa. Our e.max crowns are also layered for that added touch.

Indications

Here are a few situations where e.max would be an appropriate solution due to its strength, aesthetics, and bonding ability:

  • Veneers
  • Inlays
  • Onlays (occlusal veneers, partial crowns)
  • Implant-supported hybrid restorations (hybrid abutments, hybrid abutment crowns, etc.)
  • Three-unit bridges up to the second premolars as the terminal abutment

Cementation

IPS e.max CAD restorations can be cemented adhesively, self-adhesively, or conventionally, depending on the restoration type. You can also conventionally cement the restoration using resin ionomer cements or bond them for maximum retention on non-retentive preparations. Lithium disilicate ceramic is biocompatible and provides more than double the flexural strength of IPS Empress® esthetic.
