Dental laboratories can create various products, including removables, fixed, or implants. Each product line offers different solutions, such as dentures, implant overdentures, or full-cast dental devices. At Mabel Dental Lab, we offer a variety of materials and products for dentists to review and order. Here’s what can be made:

Fixed Dental Devices

Fixed dental products may refer to crowns, bridges, restorations, veneers, and more. Our dental laboratories use various materials, including ceramics, gold, porcelain, and more. Here are some of the products and materials we use:

Ceramics

Ceramics, made from monolithic lithium, help provide a comfortable fit and offer strength. Its unique flexural properties help make it an ideal choice for posterior crowns, veneers, or inlays. We also offer screw-retained implant crowns and three-unit anterior bridges. They’re cemented conventionally or self-adhesively, depending on whether the dental device is a restoration.

Full-Cast Gold

Gold restorations offer long-term durability for posterior crowns, and in some cases, they can last for 30 years. This material seals and prevents leakage of any tooth decay. Full-cast crowns are resistant to corrosion, fractures, and wear and tear. Depending on the strengths of the materials, we offer non-precious CoCr (cobalt-chromium) in silver or yellow, 2% yellow gold, 40% white gold, or 60% yellow gold.

Porcelain Fused to Metal

Our porcelain fused to metal (PFM) restorations are designed for full-arch bridges and crowns. They can also be used with screw-retained implant attachments and partial dentures. This material offers durability, unique protection, and a natural-looking aesthetic. It also helps reduce tooth sensitivity and the risk of any allergic reactions.

Zirconia

Zirconia offers varying translucent levels and is five times stronger than porcelain fused to metal. Its smooth surface is designed for posterior teeth. It’s also made for anterior and posterior full-coverage crowns. If you are looking for restorations, our team also fuses zirconia with porcelain to combine strength and aesthetics.

Removable Dental Devices

These dental devices include dentures, mouthguards, partials, or splints. Some designs also offer multi-layered anatomical designs for fit and adaptation, providing more removable device options. Here are some examples of removable dental devices:

Dentures

There are various aspects to reviewing dentures, including fit, performance, and skin tones. Our team also reviews the patient’s skin tone, face shape, gender, form, and color. The dentures will be contoured, which provides the appearance of natural tissue. To match the patient’s skin tone, we offer a variety of customized shades, including original, light, reddish pink, and dark pink.

Partials

Partial dentures come in a wide variety of designs that can incorporate metal frames. We use selective laser selting (SLM), titanium, and Vitallium 2000 materials. For patients looking for more natural partials, we offer non-metal designs that are clear, tooth-colored, and acrylic. We also use thermoplastic nylon to represent the unique physical appearance of the patient.

Mouthguards

Our lab processes pro-form mouthguards for both professional and amateur athletes with materials that also provide protection, retention, and fit. The guard does not interfere with speaking or breathing during play. We also make them thin and custom-fitted so the design keeps its shape for the long term.

Night Guards

Patients who grind their teeth may use night guards with either processed acrylic or Impak materials. The hard acrylic night guards are fabricated with clear acrylic and cured for durability. A soft night guard may be used for younger patients with mild or moderate bruxism. The Impak Milled is designed to avoid discomfort and minimize irritation.

Implant Dental Devices

Our products for implant devices include custom abutments, cast abutments, and implant overdentures. They are manufactured, milled, and custom-planned for a precise fit. Here are some of the implant products we offer at Mabel Dental Lab:

Custom Abutment

These dental devices are milled using computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology. Custom titanium abutments are used in all areas of the mouth, and they’re available in gold tones. The turnaround time for this device is often quick, taking up to 10 days.

Cast Abutment

Cast abutments are fabricated using a UCLA plastic sheath to create a machined platform. A technician works with this material to make a custom part for implants. One of our professionals starts by waxing the UCLA abutment to create the ideal shape, contour, and profile needed for the patient. They then create sprues and patterns before placing them into a furnace. Once the material is at the correct temperature, the material is cast in the specified alloy. It can be yellow gold for the anterior or high palladium alloy for posterior abutments.
